Not the day we had planned

The plan today was to go out to Fremont lakes and spend some time with family. We were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we ended up taking Kaitlyn to the doctor instead. She's had some tummy issues this week, and we thought she was passed it, because she was good all yesterday. Well it was back this morning and she was very unhappy, so we took her in. The PA thinks it's a virus, so she's on pedialyte for 24 hours, then a couple different formula/pedialyte mixes for a couple days, then full strength formula again. If that still upsets her tummy, then we switch her to the really expensive formula for 2 weeks (luckily the doc's office will supply us with samples for that 2 weeks, because it's about $40 a can). Then go back to her nutramigin. If we go back to the nutramigin after that 2 weeks and this stuff comes back, then it means she's sensitive to it even and we have to go to the expensive stuff for good. REALLY hoping it's not that. The PA was pretty certain it's a virus due to her symptoms and history, and after today I think it is, too. Reason being the fact that I ended up getting sick this afternoon with the same stuff. Good thing we ended up not going to Fremont, that would have been a REALLY long ride home. I did manage to fall asleep in the car on a 10 minute car ride, though, and I never fall asleep in the car. My 3 hour nap seems to have helped.

Kaitlyn was feeling better this evening, so we broke out her Bumbo. She hasn't been in it before, but her head control is much better, so we thought we'd see how she liked it. Seems to have been a hit!

3 months old already!!!

Yes, I know, I'm slow. Been a little busier than I used to be. :) Ends up I'm only on this computer to pay bills and sometimes check my email (been doing that more at work, I admit. :)). Oh well! I'm too busy enjoying my little Kaitlyn to write about her. She's spending more time awake and interacting so much more. She coos, smiles a lot, and had her first real laugh Friday morning. It was too cute, and Tony and I were both there. She had a cold (she's finally much better) so it sounded mucusy, and must have hurt, because afterwards she got her frowny face with the pouty lip sticking out before crying a bit. It was just too cute. She seems to be almost over the cold, though, thank goodness. She was 11 lbs 4 oz when I took her in to the doctor last week. She's holding her head up better and better each day, and loves to play with the burp rag. She stares at the bears on her swing and is entranced by them, and loves her bouncer now. She has found her hands and loves to bring them together and then up to her mouth. New favorite chew toy. She's not sucking her thumb yet, more her fist, but loves her paci.

Time for pics and videos! Please ignore my commentary on any videos. They're still cute. :)
