10 months already

And Christmas is almost here! Kaitlyn has been great about not bothering the tree or gifts. She's had a few times where she's gotten too curious and been told no, but nothing too serious. I'm looking forward to watching her on Christmas. Of course, most of the gifts under the tree are hers. :) She has begun having some small temper tantrums, but so far she gets over them pretty quickly. She has been sick for a bit now, with a cold, so her temperature has been a bit high, plus she's teething, but hopefully she'll feel better by Thursday. She likes to sit and play with her toys and loves it when we join her. She will flip through her books until we come over and read it to her, especially her Peekaboo books. She is eating lots of different things now, and loved my lasagna the other night. She can stand with just one hand on us (or the couch or chair, whatever is convenient) and loves to laugh. She's also learned to wave!

Mmm shredded cheese!

What's all that white stuff out there?

Mommy and Daddy put this tree up in my living room. Daddy's showing it to me for the first time.

Santa!

Kaitlyn had her first visit with Santa earlier this week, and we got a pretty good picture out of it. More updates were in previous post.

Quick update

Kaitlyn is doing well. She is crawling like crazy, cruising, pulling herself up, and loves to jibber jabber. She had a good first Thanksgiving and is getting spoiled for Christmas, of course. She went to see Santa this week and I hope to get that picture up soon. We've been pretty busy around here. We found a house we like closer to the hospital and with plenty of space to grow, so we're attempting to sell our house. Hence the lack in postings. Her 9 month appointment went well and she is doing great. So far, though, she's short. :) Looks like she got that one from me. Here are a few pics:

Happy Halloween!

Kaitlyn has been a very busy baby! She has been inching along the floor and is now crawling very quickly! She can pull herself up at times, and yesterday even went from crawling to sitting. She loves to walk with Mommy and Daddy's help. She had a baby cold, but is doing better now. Still teething, of course. :) The two front bottom teeth are in quite well.

Here are some pictures. A couple from just around the house, and some others from Halloween. She was a little lamb this year. She wasn't quite sure what to think of the costume, but she got a good haul of stuff! We took her to a couple friend/family homes around town.

Kaitlyn's first trip to the pumpkin patch

We went out to Roca Berry Farm today (http://rocaberryfarm.com/) and Kaitlyn had a blast! She got to see a few different animals, people (always her favorite thing), and a few scary things, too. She also got to help pick out a couple pumpkins and go on her first hay rack ride! The weather was gorgeous and in the 60s today, so perfect fall weather. Lots of pictures:

They're not so scary!

Goats!!

The goats came over to say hi and another man came to give them some food. I got to see them up close!

A rooster!

Daddy and I were having fun!

Come on Mom, there's nothing going on here, this is boring, gotta move on!

Piggies!

The sign says it all:

Ohh Bunnies... and I see some other kids over there!

Who's Farmer Brown, Mommy?

Taking it all in...

Hay time!

Had to get Mom in one...

Mom said this is a pumpkin. I like the top part.

I see people!

Good thing those people walked behind Mommy, or I never would have looked towards the camera:

My first hay rack ride on the way to the pumpkin patch. I'm not sure what to think, so I'll just snuggle close to Daddy:

Are we there yet?

Oh, we get to go through a forest!

Looks good, Daddy.

I rode back with Mommy.

Too cute not to post

Who would have thought a play mat could be so much fun? If this doesn't make you smile, then I don't know what will:

6 month developmental appointment

We headed out to the hospital today for Kaitlyn's 6 month developmental appointment. Babies that have complications in NICU get signed up to be monitored through the hospital, on top of their regular pediatric visits. They go by her adjusted age (which is where her development should be), so since she was born a month early, that made her 6 month appointment this month. She did great! The doctor said that Kaitlyn is doing just perfect, and that she's even advanced for her age. Yay! Since she has no developmental worries, she does not go in for a 9 month visit and waits for her year visit. So she will not go back until March. The doctor gave us some ideas for Christmas, too. She said that Kaitlyn is getting into the stage where container toys (hiding balls in cups, that sort of thing) and cause and effect toys would be great.

Kaitlyn is happier now that her tooth has popped through. She loves to explore and new things are way better than old ones. :)

Here are a few pics from our trip to Illinois and Kaitlyn's first dip in the pool! Also, of course, some around the house shots!

My first time in the pool while we were at the hotel. My mom's cousin Caleb came over to say hi!

Aren't I pretty? Daddy and I were waiting for the wedding to start!

Go Huskers!!

I'm 7 month olds already. Can you believe it?

Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

I was having some floor time and Angel came over to say hi.

Watch out Angel, here I come!

Swim time!
